A standard dump truck is a truck chassis with a dump body mounted to the frame. Howo dump trucks can be used to transport bulk goods, such as urban muck transportation, ore transportation, earthwork, coal, sand and gravel and other materials transportation.

The bed is raised by a vertical hydraulic ram mounted under the front of the body (known as a front post hoist configuration), or a horizontal hydraulic ram and lever arrangement between the frame rails, and the back of the bed is hinged at the back of the truck. 

The tipper tank of the dump truck possesses the classic swing gate, it can come available as a passive gate, or come as an active gate (hydraulically or electronically lifting the gate from inside the cab or with a remote).
